Property taxes he never challenged. Insurance he overpaid. Costs nobody explained. Tyler didn't need another tool; he needed someone to tell him how it all worked.
“I've made more than $10,000 in mistakes since owning my home.”
Property taxes came first: one of the biggest costs of owning a home, and one that's easy to pay without ever questioning the number.

“We monetize via subscription because then we're making the right decisions on behalf of the homeowner, regardless of if it gets us paid.”

|---|---|
| A share of what you save | One flat annual fee of $99/yr |
| The fee grows with your savings | Never a percentage |
| You keep what's left | You keep 100% of your savings |
Pricing and availability vary by area. We charge one flat annual fee while other services take 20-45% commission.

Where your property tax number comes from
A tax bill looks like one number from one office. It isn't. In Texas, there is no state property tax. Local governments set the tax rates, and your appraisal district appraises your home's value as of January 1 each year.1

The value is the part you can question. In Texas, you protest it to the appraisal review board, a board of local citizens that hears disagreements between property owners and the appraisal district.1 The Comptroller calls that right “one of your most important rights as a taxpayer.”2
Rules differ by state, so check yours before you file.

- Do you need help at all?
In Texas and California, you can protest or appeal on your own; hiring someone is optional.2, 4
- How is the fee charged?
A share of your savings, or one flat fee? Ask before you sign, and get the answer in writing.
- Who will work on your case?
In Texas, people who assist clients with property tax consulting services in many cases must be licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), whose website has a Verify a License search.3 A Texas owner who wants someone else at the protest hearing files Form 50-162, Appointment of Agent for Property Tax Matters.2
